House 9 - Venhuizen

Für bis zu 4 Personen

Über die Unterkunft

Description

Our self-designed & newly build (late 2019) 2-bedroom countryside getaway is a 45 min drive from Amsterdam, in the middle of nowhere. Located on a diverse Recreational Park where people come to relax and unwind. From the house you overlook the fields and dyke that surround the Markermeer: Holland in its purest form!

The house is focused on a level of comfort but with fun, quirky details and a playful layout. 4 people max + baby.

The space

The house is located on a Recreational Park, but there are no communal spaces/activities. There is a parking area, and a car-free path leading to all houses.
Entrance to the park is on the dyke - where you also find the private parking spaces (1 car per house - additional cars have to be parked on the dyke).

After the parking area, you enter the path that leads to all the cottages. We have a private cart for our guests that you can take, it's next to the entrance of house nr 07 - almost at the beginning. Please return the cart back to house nr 07, where you found it, immediately after unloading. If the cart is in use, you can also take the park-carts, please note they also need to be returned asap.

The house is nr09: not far from the parking, on the right side of the path: a black wooden flat roof house "hidden" behind trees.

The house is thoughtfully placed on 275m2 land, designed & build around the existing trees with a small garden. There's a creek between the house and the field (guarded by a fence). There are trees and bushes and a fence around the lawn which surround the house and give privacy.

The house has a creative open space plan. Upon entering, you will arrive in a hallway (shoes off here please) . From here you will enter a large open & light living room and kitchen space. There are big windows to let the light, the sun and the view inside.

Connected to this space are the 2 bedrooms. Each of the bedrooms has their own private vanity/washbasin and wardrobe, and share a large comfortable shower, to be closed & locked off by 2 big sliding doors. Bed dimensions: 160 x 200. Please note that there is no space to place an air mattress or additional (baby)bed.

There is one (travel) baby bed available (60x120) which we can be placed next to the bed in the master bedroom. All spaces have windows to let fresh air inside. There is a storage room near the entrance in which we have extra light bulbs, tools and cleaning supplies etc. There is a small portable oven, please place this on the kitchen countertop when you want to use it. No washer / dryer.

Please note that since the house has very recently been build, the garden is not completely finished yet. The grass is there, plants will come up soon! Also, there will still be small things unfinished. We will provide bedding and towels (1pp) for you.

Guest access

All areas IN THE HOUSE and on the PROPERTY are accessible for the guest.
Please note that, as this is a recreational Bungalow Park: please respect other owners privacy and do not walk onto other peoples property (stay on the path please) also when houses seem to be abandoned.
Please make sure kids stay on the path, and only play on our property grounds.
Thank you for understanding and for following these simple rules :)

We are available for contact through phonecall, whatsap or email. Communication through airbnb is preferred, so we both see the conversation (which gives you a quicker reaction), but whenever you want to call us; never hesitate to do so.

Nachbarschaft

It's only a minute walk to the big Markermeer Lake. Simply cross the street from the parking, walk up the dyke, and the big Markermeer lake opens up to you.

When you walk some minutes to the right, you'll find a waterfront park, down at the lake, which is a great place for a picnic, to play with a kite, sunbath, and for a swim in the lake.

A walk on the dyke is highly recommended in the evening, during sunset, as it gets a magical touch (or early morning...).

The drive from the house/holiday park to the city of Hoorn, while staying on the dyke next to the lake, is breathtaking. We love this small detour when we drive back to Amsterdam.

There is a tiny picturesque village/community named Oosterleek (less then 100 inhabitants, there are no shops. You can walk to / through this village, also with kids (about a 20 min walk). Oosterleek is the resting place of the Wesfriese Omringdijk between the VOC towns of Hoorn and Enkhuizen.

The dyke is the starting point for cycling or hiking through a varied landscape of orchards, colorful tulip fields, pastures with cattle and picturesque villages famous for the West Frisian bell farms.
